


Linda Champagne
Linda is a Springvale native, raised by a military father, from Alfred ME and mother, from Sanford, ME. As a child she lived in Springvale, The United Kingdom and Virginia. Linda learned to adapt to changes due to transferring schools numerous times to include three junior high schools in the 7th grade and two different high schools. Linda graduated from Sanford High School in 1981.
After graduation Linda returned to Virginia where she married a member of the military. While married Linda lived in Virginia, Utah and Alabama. After a divorce, Linda returned to Sanford where she raised her two children while working and attending the University of Southern Maine (USM). During this time, Linda supported her son’s involvement with the music departments in the schools and coached her daughter in local soft ball teams under the Sanford Springvale Youth Athletic Association. Linda is a proud grandmother of six grandchildren.
After graduating from USM with a Bachelors Degree in Criminology, Linda accepted a position with a Federal agency and moved to Florida. During her employment with this agency Linda relocated to Vermont, Massachusetts and then back home to Sanford.
Since returning to Sanford, Linda has participated in volunteer work with Stuff the Bus, ushering at the Sanford Performing Arts Center and delivering the Sanford Springvale News paper.
Linda retired from government service in October 2025 after 29 years and 6 months serving under the following branches: The US Air Force, The Treasury Department, The United States Post Office and The Department of Justice.
